Today, we are delighted to feature Mdm Phaik Gek's vibrant singing group at Raffles Park, Gelugor. This dedicated group meets twice a week from 9am to sing and occasionally celebrates special events with potluck gatherings. I had the pleasure of visiting them today to cheer on the group, distribute sponsored cooking oil, and engage them with quiz questions about healthy morning habits for seniors.
The responses were fantastic and heartwarming: staying grateful, drinking plain water, exercising, and doing activities they love. During my visit, I also met several passionate SITI involved in quilting, crocheting, bag-making, line dancing, and fall prevention. Each of these individuals showcases the incredible potential retirees have to contribute positively to the community.
Every member's passion and dedication highlight how retirees can continue to make meaningful impacts, enriching both their lives and the lives of those around them.
